Kid turns three today! three years ago today i was at work, tentatively awaiting a phone call from mommy while she labored at home. we were a week past our due date and not so sure this baby would come at all. all of a sudden it's three years later, she's drinking beer, driving herself to the little playground, staying out late at night and lying about where she's been... beatrix marie, i love you sooooooo much! you are smart, challenging, headstrong, beautiful, athletic, witty, imaginative, funny, and fun to be around. you're both cautiously timid and fearlessly reckless, and you grow more complex day by day. you are a brightly burning light in the dark for me, just by being you.
