memorial day weekend pt 3

after the pool, bebe took a tubba, and then got in some play time with mems and teed:

this is one of bebe's fave things to do right now- she pushes around her fire truck until it tips over, and then she has a complete meltdown and we have to hide it until tomorrow.

then she got down on the floor with teed and ran him ragged!

when she was done with him, she went to find mems. but what happened to teed?

zzzzzzzz... zzzzzzzz... zzzzzzzzz...

zzzzzz... par 4, hold the horseradish... zzz... yes, yes, a mango daiquiri... zzzzz... why thank you mr. president, i do work out... zzzz... zzzzzzz...

on to some reading!

bebe helped mems with all the big words, and even identified the type face. it was a rather primitive New Times Roman, fyi.

we finished the day with another great sunset from my favorite sunset place- just under the trees atop the hill at casa burbank...

and the following morning, bright and early, i met a rather surly baby bebe, for breakfast. as a stanza in a poem that sentence would look like this:

and the following morning
bright and early
i met a rather surly
baby bebe
for breakfast.

and that's how you make art. you're welcome.

"i am not amused. and this waffle is two degrees too cool."

"why don't you run back into the kitchen and try again."

"maybe you didn't understand me? i said, bring me another one of these fruity waffles, and this time, prepare it correctly."

"do you think this is some kind of game we're playing?"
sorry bebe. i'll get right on that. it won't happen again.

"bada bing! know what i'm sayin'?"

"on the other hand, it's a free country. you could certainly just choose not to fix our waffle problem."
really? because i was thinking of making myself some breakfast. i'm so hungry!

so in the end i chose to make another waffle. how's that one, beeb-father?

"mwaaa! this is the finest waffle i have ever eaten. crispy, yet soft. and the berries, the berries, are warm and juicy, as succulent as if they had been picked just moments ago, fresh from a bush warmed in the morning sun."

"tell me- what is your secret? i must know!"
actually, i just take them out of the freezer and put them in the toaster oven. that's all.

"no! i refuse to believe these scrumptious morsels are from the freezer!"
it's true.

"tell no one of this! i am so ashamed. also, i peed in my pants a few photos ago."

and so, after a diaper change and a fresh outfit, our three day weekend drew to a close. back to the grind!
